Although individual brilliance is recognised, Chevredor stud breeding does are selected for consistency of type based on both genotype and phenotype. This has given rise to a stud herd divided into several groups which mirror the lines represented by the standing sires. This practice has given rise to stud does that produce offspring of a very consistent quality and that are true-to-type for the lines they represent. In addition to the characteristics of form and function demanded by the breed standard, each of these lines offers excellence in one or more features.

The does of the Snake line are long in the body with excellent eye muscle width & depth, have a strong head, square stance and good muscle cover – even as juveniles.
Chevredor's Amani Line must have a wide square stance, broad chest and very strong shoulders.

Some of our oldest does, our Tarzan line exhibits beautiful heads, excellent muscle development and outstanding growth rates from birth to 10 months.
In 2009 we introduced an additional line:
These does were purchased as structurally correct 5 year old does. The ability to produce consistently without breaking down structurally is as commercially relevant as good meat characteristics. These does will make a valuable contribution to the Chevredor Stud line up.
